Snow Day

Between this view

and this one

and the sounds of everyone home for a snow day, I feel more like snuggling up with a book and a cup of hot tea than working today.

What keeps you going on a day like this?

  1. I had to go into work today but I wish I could cuddle up like your kitty. So cute!

  2. How about making that a good children's book instead of writing mine? I can always call it research, so I am working, right? I spent some time today with Pat Mora's "Dizzy in Your Eyes," a wonderful poetry collection. Meanwhile my two cats Pearl and Dora snuggled together and napped the day away. I think these cats may be trying to tell us something ;)

  3. Love your cat photo, Sheri. My cat's walking around on my shoulders and purring as I type this. :) I got through this icy day by writing, cooking, and watching the ever-wonderful "Groundhog Day."

  4. Thanks, Ghenet. The printer is just one of many places in my office where Mimi likes to sleep the day away.

  5. Judy - I think you're right! The cats are trying to tell us something. Next snow day I will do nothing but "research" all day. :)

Thanks, Toby! I can't remember another Groundhog Day that was also a Snow Day for us. All I can see out my window is snow falling. Meanwhile, Wiartone Willie can smell spring.

  7. Ahh . . . looks like you got hammered with snow too! So what keeps me going on a cold and dreary day like that -- chocolate covered espresso beans.
